Meet Victoria, the face behind Vectoria Creative
Nice to meet you!
I’m a freelance graphic designer based in Wasaga Beach, Canada, specializing in branding and web design for small businesses and startups. I work with business owners who are ready to move beyond DIY design and build a brand that actually supports their growth.
My first introduction to graphic design goes back to the early 2000s, when my brother installed a very unofficial copy of Photoshop on the family computer. I was a preteen deep in the MySpace and Neopets era, completely obsessed with customizing profile pages. That curiosity quickly turned into learning basic HTML, experimenting with design principles and creating far too many Photoshop edits for fun.
That early obsession followed me through high school and led me to study Graphic Design at Durham College in 2009, where I graduated at the top of my class. After college, I spent years working in corporate design roles, gaining experience across branding, print and digital. Eventually, the entrepreneurial itch became impossible to ignore. In 2023, I took the leap and took Vectoria Creative full time.
Today, I work closely with business owners across Canada and North America. I value thoughtful design, clear process and work that feels personal rather than mass produced.
Outside of work, I’m a proud mom to my daughter, Maisie, and a lifelong sports and outdoors lover. I grew up playing competitive sports, including rugby from age 14 to 24, before retiring while still mostly intact. These days, you’ll find me hiking, camping and playing baseball in the summer, snowboarding in the winter and fitting in a workout session a few times a week throughout the year.
I love connecting with creatives, entrepreneurs, and people building something meaningful. If that sounds like you, feel free to reach out and drop me a line!

Why ‘Vectoria’ instead of ‘Victoria’?
Vectoria is a play on my name and the word ‘Vector’.
When I first started sharing my art online, I was involved in a community of other graphic designers where the term ‘vector’ is commonplace. Once I moved into a freelancer role, I kept my nickname and decided to help educate my future clients about vector and raster art, since knowing so would serve them too!
So… what is a vector?
Simply put, a vector is a type of graphic that is infinitely scalable without resolution loss. In comparison, a raster image (for example, a photograph JPEG) can suffer resolution loss when scaled beyond its capacity resolution and eventually will look pixelated. A vector graphic will never pixelate no matter how large.
Your logo MUST be created as vector graphic. When hiring a designer, it's important to communicate your expectations on deliverables. Ensure they will include a vector format (.eps/.ai/.svg) in your final logo package, and if they can't, consider hiring someone else as they may not be up-to-date on industry standards. Many new designers work in Procreate or Photoshop, raster based software, and won't be able to deliver a vector file.
