When the email from LogoLounge landed in my inbox, I had to read it twice.

Seeing that Spice Junkie had been selected for Volume 15 was one of those pinch-me moments that never get old.
No matter how many logos I create, there’s something incredibly rewarding about having your work recognized on a global stage.
What’s LogoLounge?
If you’re not familiar, LogoLounge is basically the Oscars of logo design. It's a global design book celebrating the best in branding from around the world. Thousands of designers from across submit their best logo marks each year, and a panel of respected judges selects the standouts for publication.
Being included is an honour, especially as a small-studio designer who geeks out over clever visual storytelling.

Meet Spice Junkie
Every so often, a project comes along that reminds me why I love what I do. The Spice Junkie logo was one of those.
The featured logo is a simple red flame, but look closer and you’ll spot a hidden chili pepper sitting in the negative space. It’s a clean, balanced mark that connects flavour and spice, food and heat, passion and personality, all in one compact icon.
That’s the magic of thoughtful logo design: when strategy meets simplicity, a brand story can unfold in a single glance.

Why It Works
Hidden meaning: The pepper in the flame ties directly to the product, rewarding the viewer with a “second read.”
Versatility: The design holds up in one colour, on packaging, merch, or signage, making it ideal for a small business that needs to look professional across everything.
Memorability: It’s the kind of mark that sticks in your head, which is exactly what every small brand needs when competing in a busy market.

From Book 14 → Book 15
This isn’t my first appearance in a LogoLounge book either.
My YouVee logo, a sleek, minimalist mark inspired by UV-sanitizing light, was featured in LogoLounge Vol. 14. Seeing Spice Junkie join the lineup feels like a full-circle moment and a reminder that I’m right where I’m meant to be: creating memorable, strategic branding that helps my clients stand out and grow their businesses.
